8.39

मायागर्भाधिकारिणस् तु कस्यचिद् ईश्वरस्य प्रसादात् सर्वकर्मक्षये मायापुरुषविवेको भवति येन मायोर्ध्वे विज्ञानाकल आस्ते न जातुचित् मायाधः कलापुंविवेको वा येन कलोर्ध्वे तिष्ठति

Transliteration (IAST)

māyāgarbhādhikāriṇas tu kasyacid īśvarasya prasādāt sarvakarmakṣaye māyāpuruṣaviveko bhavati yena māyordhve vijñānākala āste na jātucit māyādhaḥ kalāpuṃviveko vā yena kalordhve tiṣṭhati

— of a presiding agent contained within Māyā ; — by the grace ; — upon the destruction of all karma ; — the discrimination of Māyā from the soul ; — the one isolated by gnosis (vijñānākala) ; — below Māyā ; — the discrimination of kalā from the soul

But for some soul, by the grace of a presiding agent contained within Māyā, upon the destruction of all karma there occurs a discrimination of Māyā from the soul, whereby it abides above Māyā as a vijñānākala and never returns; or, below Māyā, a discrimination of kalā from the soul, whereby it abides above kalā.
