19.1

अथ अधरशासनस्थानां गुर्वन्तानाम् अपि मरणसमनन्तरं मृतोद्धारोदितशक्तिपातयोगाद् एव अन्त्यसंस्काराख्यां दीक्षां कुर्यात् ऊर्ध्वशासनस्थानाम् अपि लुप्तसमयानाम् अकृतप्रायश्चित्तानाम् इति परमेश्वराज्ञा

Transliteration (IAST)

atha adharaśāsanasthānāṃ gurvantānām api maraṇasamanantaraṃ mṛtoddhāroditaśaktipātayogād eva antyasaṃskārākhyāṃ dīkṣāṃ kuryāt ūrdhvaśāsanasthānām api luptasamayānām akṛtaprāyaścittānām iti parameśvarājñā

— of those abiding in the lower dispensations ; — even of those up to (the rank of) guru ; — immediately after death ; — by reason of the descent of grace that arises in the raising-up of the dead ; — the initiation called the last sacrament (funeral rite) ; — he should perform ; — even of those abiding in the higher dispensation ; — who have broken their pledges (samaya) ; — who have not performed expiation ; — the command of the Supreme Lord

Now, even for those abiding in the lower dispensations, up to (the rank of) guru, immediately after death he should perform the initiation called the last sacrament, precisely by reason of the descent of grace that arises in the raising-up of the dead; and likewise for those abiding in the higher dispensation who have broken their pledges and not performed expiation — such is the command of the Supreme Lord.
