अहं सुखी च दुःखी च रक्तश्चेत्यादिसंविदः ।
सुखाद्यवस्थानुस्यूते वर्तन्तेऽन्यत्र ताः स्फुटम् ॥४॥
ahaṃ sukhī ca duḥkhī ca raktaś cetyādi-saṃvidaḥ |
sukhādy-avasthānusyūte vartante 'nyatra tāḥ sphuṭam ||

— I am happy; — and; — miserable; — and; — attached; — and the like (such cognitions as 'I am … etc.'); — cognitions; — in (something) threaded through the states of pleasure etc.; — exist, abide; — elsewhere (i.e., in another substratum); — those (cognitions); — clearly
Such cognitions as 'I am happy', 'I am miserable', 'I am attached', etc., clearly inhere in another (substratum — the Spanda Self) which is the thread running through the states of pleasure and the rest.
