नाभावो भाव्यतामेति न च तत्रास्त्यमूढता ।
यतोऽभियोगसंस्पर्शात्तदासीदिति निश्चयः ॥१२॥
nābhāvo bhāvyatām eti na ca tatrāsty amūḍhatā |
yato 'bhiyoga-saṃsparśāt tadāsīd iti niścayaḥ ||

— not; — non-being / void; — the state of being object of meditation; — comes (to), reaches; — nor; — there (in that void); — is, exists; — non-stupor (awareness); — because; — from the touch of (subsequent) reflection; — then (during deep sleep / void); — (it) was, existed; — thus (closing the quoted reflection); — the determination/conviction
Non-being (śūnya) cannot become an object of meditation, nor is there in it any awareness; yet from the touch of subsequent reflection arises the conviction 'that was'.
