शून्यत्वे सति तस्याः स्यात्तस्माद्बौद्धमयुक्तिमत् ।
अन्यत्र युज्यतेऽपोहः शब्दार्थानामसंगमात् ॥८६॥
śūnyatve sati tasyāḥ syāttasmādbauddhamayuktimat |
anyatra yujyate'pohaḥ śabdārthānāmasaṃgamāt
If there be voidness, incoherence would attach to it (convention); therefore the Buddhist doctrine is devoid of reason. In another (system — ours) exclusion is (after a fashion) tenable, by reason of the (only apparent) non-conjunction of word-meanings (which the underlying unity yet grounds).
