6.82

उपलब्धिः पुनर्ज्ञेया प्रमाणान्तरगोचरा । धूमात्सम्बन्धतो वह्नेः परोक्षे स्फुरणं न किम् ॥८२॥

upalabdhiḥ punarjñeyā pramāṇāntaragocarā | dhūmātsambandhato vahneḥ parokṣe sphuraṇaṃ na kim

— apprehension ; — moreover ; — is to be understood ; — as ranging over other means of knowledge ; — from smoke ; — through (its) connection ; — of fire ; — in the imperceptible ; — a flashing-forth ; — is there not?

Moreover, apprehension is to be understood as ranging over the other means of knowledge (besides perception); from smoke, through (its) connection, is there not a flashing-forth of fire even in the imperceptible (— so consciousness reaches the unseen)?
