शून्यतां वा शून्यतायां व्यर्थता शब्दगोचरे । युगपद्वा घटाद्यर्था जगत्यानन्त्यमागताः ॥७९॥
śūnyatāṃ vā śūnyatāyāṃ vyarthatā śabdagocare | yugapadvā ghaṭādyarthā jagatyānantyamāgatāḥ
— emptiness ; — or ; — if there be emptiness ; — pointlessness ; — in the domain of the word ; — all at once ; — or ; — the objects, pot and the rest ; — in the world ; — endlessness ; — come to

Or (does the word disclose) an emptiness? If there be (only) emptiness in the domain of the word, (it is) pointless; or (else, to exclude everything else) all the objects — pot and the rest — in the world would have to (be cognized) all at once, attaining endlessness (— an impossible demand of the apoha theory).
