6.70
किं विधाय घटं नो वा स मृत्पिण्डोऽभिधीयताम् । अकृत्वाकरणं कुम्भे कृत्वा तस्य स्वरूपिता ॥७०॥
kiṃ vidhāya ghaṭaṃ no vā sa mṛtpiṇḍo'bhidhīyatām | akṛtvākaraṇaṃ kumbhe kṛtvā tasya svarūpitā
— having made (the pot)? ; — the pot ; — or not ; — that lump of clay ; — let it be said ; — not having made ; — the non-making ; — with respect to the jar ; — having made ; — of it (the clay) ; — (its) abiding in its own form

Let it be said: does that lump of clay (perish) after making the pot, or not? If without making (the jar, it perishes), there is no making of the jar; and if after making (it persists, so there is) its abiding in its own form (— either way momentariness fails).
