6.60
घटो नश्यत्यात्मनेति किंचित्कुर्वन् किमात्मना । नश्यत्यात्मन्यकुर्वन् वा तदेवं स्थित एव सः ॥६०॥
ghaṭo naśyatyātmaneti kiṃcitkurvan kimātmanā | naśyatyātmanyakurvan vā tadevaṃ sthita eva saḥ
— the pot ; — perishes ; — of itself ; — (you say) thus ; — doing something ; — with (its) self? ; — does it perish ; — doing nothing to its self ; — or ; — then thus ; — it just abides

(You say) 'the pot perishes of itself.' (But) does it perish while doing something with its self, or doing nothing to its self? If (it perishes) doing nothing (to itself), then thus it just abides (unperished).
