नापि क्रमयौगपद्यविकल्पाः सहकारिणाम् । सन्निधौ कृतशक्तित्वादनेकेषां तथास्थितेः ॥५७॥
nāpi kramayaugapadyavikalpāḥ sahakāriṇām | sannidhau kṛtaśaktitvādanekeṣāṃ tathāsthiteḥ
— nor ; — the alternatives of succession and simultaneity ; — of cooperating (causes) ; — in (their) co-presence ; — because of (their) power being (already) effected ; — of the several ; — from (their) abiding so

Nor (do) the alternatives of succession and simultaneity (of the cooperating causes apply to us); for in the co-presence of the several cooperating (causes), their power being (already) effected, they abide so (— their efficacy resting on the one underlying agent).
