अविद्या वस्तुरूपा चेद्विद्यया साकमेकता ।
अवस्तु वा नह्यसत्यं सत्यरूपस्य साधनम् ॥२१॥
avidyā vasturūpā cedvidyayā sākamekatā |
avastu vā nahyasatyaṃ satyarūpasya sādhanam
If nescience be of the form of a real thing, then its oneness with knowledge (would result, undoing the distinction); or (if it be) no real thing — for the unreal cannot be a means (of producing) what has a real form.
