एकक्षणत्वं लक्ष्यस्य बहुकालस्य नार्हता ।
क्षणभङ्गान्नचैवं हि स निवार्य इहाग्रतः ॥९७॥
ekakṣaṇatvaṃ lakṣyasya bahukālasya nārhatā |
kṣaṇabhaṅgānnacaivaṃ hi sa nivārya ihāgrataḥ
Being of a single moment is not fitting for an object of long duration; and (it is) indeed not so, (as would follow) from momentary perishing — that (doctrine of momentariness) is to be refuted here, further on.
