तदहर्जातकस्यापि वासना सान्यजन्मजा । तत्तज्जातीयधर्मो वा तथाज्ञानस्वभावता ॥७६॥
tadaharjātakasyāpi vāsanā sānyajanmajā | tattajjātīyadharmo vā tathājñānasvabhāvatā
— even of one born that very day ; — a latent impression ; — it ; — born of another birth ; — or a property belonging to this or that class ; — likewise ; — the having of knowing as one's nature

Even in one born that very day there is a latent impression (showing knowledge) — and that (impression is held to be) born of another birth, or else a property belonging to this or that natural kind; (either way it points to) the having of knowing as one's very nature.
