The Vision of Śiva5.67

5.67
अनुमानं न चास्तीति पक्षादिर्नोपयुज्यते । गोपालघटिकान्यैश्च घटिता न ह्यसम्भवात् ॥६७॥
anumānaṃ na cāstīti pakṣādirnopayujyate | gopālaghaṭikānyaiśca ghaṭitā na hyasambhavāt
— inference ; — does not exist (validly) ; — thus ; — the thesis-locus and the rest ; — is of no use ; — by 'cowherd's water-clock' and other (devices) ; — constructed (the inferential apparatus) ; — surely not ; — because of (its) impossibility

Thus (valid) inference does not exist (as the realists conceive it); (so) the thesis-locus and the rest are of no use; and the apparatus (of inference) constructed by 'cowherd's water-clock' and other (such crude analogies) does not (hold) — for it is impossible (to ground it without consciousness).
