तस्मात्तद्व्यपदेशे न वह्निः स्वं विनिवेदयेत् । वीक्ष्यात्मना तथात्मानं विनीतवदवस्थितम् ॥६०॥
tasmāttadvyapadeśe na vahniḥ svaṃ vinivedayet | vīkṣyātmanā tathātmānaṃ vinītavadavasthitam
— therefore ; — in that designation ; — not ; — the fire ; — itself ; — could announce ; — having beheld ; — by itself ; — likewise its own self ; — like one well-disciplined ; — abiding

Therefore in that designation (by an inferential mark) the fire could not announce itself; (it is rather that consciousness itself,) beholding its own self by itself, abides (revealing the object) like one well-composed (— object-cognition is consciousness self-aware).
