5.35
तदैक्यात्तच्चक्षुषैव प्रक्रिया चेत् कथं स्थिता । तथा शिवस्य सर्गाद्वा प्रक्रियायास्तथात्मनः ॥३५॥
tadaikyāttaccakṣuṣaiva prakriyā cet kathaṃ sthitā | tathā śivasya sargādvā prakriyāyāstathātmanaḥ
— from the unity therewith ; — by that very eye ; — the procedure (of cognizing) ; — if (you say) ; — how is it established? ; — likewise ; — of Śiva ; — or from (his) creative emission ; — of the procedure ; — likewise of the self

If (you say) the procedure (of cognition occurs) by that very eye through (its) unity (with the self) — (then ask) how is that (unity) established? Likewise (the procedure obtains) from Śiva's own creative emission, (which is at once) the procedure and the very self (of the cognizer).
