The Vision of Śiva5.33

5.33
— the going-forth of a visual ray ; — if (you posit) ; — it ; — perceptible ; — like a ray of the sun ; — of things ; — in (their) being reflections ; — of the self too ; — there is no coherence

If (you posit) a going-forth of a visual ray — (then) it (would be) perceptible, like a ray of the sun (which it is not). And if things were (mere) reflections (in the self), there would be no coherence even for the self (— as the next verse explains).
