शक्तिर्घटेऽत्र किं कुर्यागृहित्वान्तरथाविशेत् । बुध्नोदरादिकं तत्तु गृहीत्वा नच युज्यते ॥२८॥
śaktirghaṭe'tra kiṃ kuryāgṛhitvāntarathāviśet | budhnodarādikaṃ tattu gṛhītvā naca yujyate
— the power ; — in the pot ; — here ; — what could it do? ; — having grasped ; — then would it enter within? ; — the base, belly and the rest (of the pot) ; — but that ; — having grasped ; — is not (even) possible

What could the power do here in the pot? Having grasped (it), would it then enter within? But (the power's) grasping the base, belly and the rest (of the pot) is not (even) possible (for the incorporeal cannot lay hold of the corporeal).
