गोलकं न प्रयातीह शक्तेरव्यतिरेकतः ।
शक्तिमद्भोगतायां वा तत्रैव यदि वेदनम् ॥२४॥
golakaṃ na prayātīha śakteravyatirekataḥ |
śaktimadbhogatāyāṃ vā tatraiva yadi vedanam
The eyeball here does not go forth (to the object); and (its) power, being inseparable (from its locus, cannot go forth either). Or if (you say) cognition occurs in the experiencing by the power-bearer right there (in the object — consider the next consequence).
