आत्मनो व्यापकत्वेन शरीरे व्यर्थता भवेत् ।
जडत्वादथवा शक्तस्तच्छक्त्या तद्घटो घवेत् ॥२५॥
ātmano vyāpakatvena śarīre vyarthatā bhavet |
jaḍatvādathavā śaktastacchaktyā tadghaṭo ghavet
By reason of the self's all-pervadingness, (the apparatus of) the body would be useless; or else, since (the eye) is insentient, (it could cognize only if it were) empowered (by consciousness) — and by that power the pot too would become (sentient).
