नैवं घटस्य चैतन्यमस्ति ज्ञानात् स्वकर्मणि ।
नाज्ञात्वा कर्तुमिष्येत तथाचिदवबोधनात् ॥१२॥
naivaṃ ghaṭasya caitanyamasti jñānāt svakarmaṇi |
nājñātvā kartumiṣyeta tathācidavabodhanāt
It is not so: the pot too has sentience, by reason of (its) knowing in its own activity; for nothing is admitted to act without knowing, and likewise (because consciousness is manifest) in the very cognizing of (what is called) the insentient.
