अथ चेच्चिद्वतामेतद्वक्तुं युक्तं कदाचन ।
पृथिव्यादेर्हि मूर्तस्य घटादेर्वा न युज्यते ॥११॥
atha ceccidvatāmetadvaktuṃ yuktaṃ kadācana |
pṛthivyāderhi mūrtasya ghaṭādervā na yujyate
Now if (one objects): this (ascription of will, joy, etc.) might at most be fitting to say of beings possessed of consciousness — but of corporeal earth and the rest, or of a pot and the like, it is not fitting.
