5.100
उदरस्थस्य च ग्रासग्रहणान्मातुरन्तरे । अशिक्षितानां तरणात् प्राणिनां निम्नगाजलात् ॥१००॥
udarasthasya ca grāsagrahaṇānmāturantare | aśikṣitānāṃ taraṇāt prāṇināṃ nimnagājalāt
— of one (still) in the womb ; — and ; — from the taking of nourishment ; — within the mother ; — of the untaught ; — from (their) swimming ; — of living creatures ; — in the water of a river

And (it follows) from the embryo's taking nourishment within the mother, and from the untaught swimming of (newborn) creatures in the water of a river (— knowing that no instruction could have supplied).
