जन्मकाले घटाभावात्संबन्धो नैव कारकैः ॥४९॥
janmakāle ghaṭābhāvātsaṃbandho naiva kārakaiḥ
— at the time of (its) birth ; — because of the absence of the pot ; — connection ; — just not ; — with the causal factors

(For on the opponent's view) at the very time of (the pot's) birth, since the pot (does not yet) exist, there can be no connection at all (of it) with the causal factors.
