व्यतिरेके न युज्येत विज्ञानं हि घटादिषु ।
मूर्तामूर्तधर्मयोगो घटस्तस्य न गोचरः ॥३०॥
vyatireke na yujyeta vijñānaṃ hi ghaṭādiṣu |
mūrtāmūrtadharmayogo ghaṭastasya na gocaraḥ
If there were a separation (of object from consciousness), no cognition of pots and the like would be possible. (For) the conjunction of corporeal and incorporeal properties (it would require) — and the pot (as a mind-independent thing) is not the field of that (cognition at all).
