The Vision of Śiva4.25

4.25
अज्ञानत्वे परिज्ञाते तदा स्यात्स्वविरोधिता । अज्ञानत्वे स्वभावेन विरोधः केन वार्यते ॥२५॥
ajñānatve parijñāte tadā syātsvavirodhitā | ajñānatve svabhāvena virodhaḥ kena vāryate
— in the case of non-cognition ; — when fully cognized ; — then ; — there would be ; — self-contradiction ; — in non-cognition ; — by its very nature ; — opposition ; — by what ; — is excluded

When non-cognition is (itself) fully cognized, there would then be self-contradiction (in it); (yet) if non-cognition is opposed (to cognition) by its very nature, by what is that opposition to be excluded? (— the point being that 'annulment' rests on no coherent footing.)
