नैवमत्र स्वभावत्वे विरोधो बाधनात्मकः । स विवेकदृशा ज्ञेयो न स्वभावेन कुत्रचित् ॥२६॥
naivamatra svabhāvatve virodho bādhanātmakaḥ | sa vivekadṛśā jñeyo na svabhāvena kutracit
— (it is) not so ; — here ; — in the case of (being) the very nature ; — opposition ; — consisting in annulment ; — that (opposition) ; — by discriminative insight ; — is to be known ; — not by (a thing's) intrinsic nature ; — anywhere

It is not so here: in the case of (something's) being its very nature, the opposition that consists in annulment — that (opposition) is to be known by discriminative insight, never (as belonging to a thing) by its intrinsic nature anywhere.
