4.112
मनसावेदितार्थस्य तद्देशित्वमथोच्यते । वर्णिते योगिता कस्य यदि वा तत्स्वरूपतः ॥११२॥
manasāveditārthasya taddeśitvamathocyate | varṇite yogitā kasya yadi vā tatsvarūpataḥ
— by the mind ; — of the object that has been reported ; — the being in that place ; — then ; — is said ; — when (the object) is (merely) described ; — conjunction ; — of what (with what)? ; — or else if ; — by way of its own-form

(If) it then be said that the object reported by the mind is (thereby brought) to be in that (mental) place — when (the object) is merely described, conjunction of what (with what would obtain)? Or else (if conjunction is) by way of (the object's) own-form (the same difficulty recurs).
