मनसोऽभिन्नकालत्वात् स्मृतिज्ञानमथोच्यते ।
प्रारब्धश्चासमाप्तश्च वर्तमानः क्रियामनु ॥१०३॥
manaso'bhinnakālatvāt smṛtijñānamathocyate |
prārabdhaścāsamāptaśca vartamānaḥ kriyāmanu
(If you say) memory-cognition is spoken of because the mind is not (truly) different in time (from the past) — (consider that) an action, begun and not yet completed, is (called) present in (the sequence) following upon the action (so time-unity is what underlies memory).
