तथात्वेनैव कॢप्तत्वात्तदेतत्कल्पना भवेत् ।
तदेव तत्कल्पितं किं सत्ये नामास्तु कल्पना ॥८३॥
tathātvenaiva kḷptatvāttadetatkalpanā bhavet |
tadeva tatkalpitaṃ kiṃ satye nāmāstu kalpanā
Because it is fashioned precisely as being so, this (manifestation) would (only on the dualist view) be a mere imagining; (but for us) that very thing (the world) is what is figured as Śiva — so why should there be (talk of mere) 'imagining' applied to the real? (Let there be no such 'imagining.')
