यस्मादनादिनिधनं शब्दतत्त्वं परा हि वाक् । पश्यन्त्या वर्ण्यमानत्वे हस्ते ग्राह्यैकता पतेत् ॥८२॥
yasmādanādinidhanaṃ śabdatattvaṃ parā hi vāk | paśyantyā varṇyamānatve haste grāhyaikatā patet
— because (you hold) ; — without beginning or end ; — the Word-principle ; — the supreme Speech ; — of Paśyantī ; — in (her) being described ; — to the hand ; — being made one with a graspable object ; — would follow

Since (you hold) the beginningless and endless Word-principle to be the supreme Speech — yet in being (thus) described, (she falls) into being one with a graspable object, as (a thing falls) into the hand (— and so loses her supreme status).
