शब्दस्य विषयाख्यस्य मिश्रत्वेनेन्द्रियस्य तु ।
सर्वदर्शनविज्ञानशून्यता पदवेदिनाम् ॥८१॥
śabdasya viṣayākhyasya miśratvenendriyasya tu |
sarvadarśanavijñānaśūnyatā padavedinām
Since the Word, called an object, is mixed up with the sense-organ (of speech), the mere knowers of words are devoid of all (true) insight and understanding.
