आत्मनः सक्रमत्वं स्यादन्यत्रापरसंगमः । किं पूर्वं सक्रमाभूत्सा रूपद्वित्वं प्रसज्यते ॥५१॥
ātmanaḥ sakramatvaṃ syādanyatrāparasaṃgamaḥ | kiṃ pūrvaṃ sakramābhūtsā rūpadvitvaṃ prasajyate
— of herself ; — the having-of-succession ; — would result ; — elsewhere ; — conjunction with another ; — whether ; — previously ; — possessed of succession ; — was ; — she ; — a duality of nature ; — follows as an absurdity

(If within herself,) she herself would possess succession; (if elsewhere,) there is conjunction with another. And was she previously possessed of succession (and only later free of it)? — then a duality of nature absurdly follows for her.
