घटादिग्रहकालेऽपि घटं जानाति सा क्रिया । जानाति ज्ञानमत्रैव निरिच्छोर्वेदनक्षतिः ॥२४॥

ghaṭādigrahakāle'pi ghaṭaṃ jānāti sā kriyā | jānāti jñānamatraiva niricchorvedanakṣatiḥ

— at the time of grasping a pot or the like ; — even ; — the pot ; — knows ; — that ; — action ; — it knows ; — knowledge ; — here ; — precisely ; — of one devoid of will ; — a failure of cognition

Even at the moment of apprehending a pot or the like, that action knows the pot; here precisely (the power of) knowledge knows — for in one devoid of will there would be a collapse of cognition.
