अविधिज्ञो विधानज्ञो जायते यजनं प्रति । कालाग्निम् आदितः कृत्वा मायान्तम् ब्रह्मदेहगम् ॥२१॥
avidhijño vidhānajño jāyate yajanaṃ prati | kālāgnim āditaḥ kṛtvā māyāntam brahmadehagam
— one ignorant of the rite (not knowing the formal procedure) ; — one who knows the ordinance (becomes expert in the rite) ; — becomes ; — the worship, the sacrifice ; — with regard to, toward ; — the Fire of Time (kālāgni, the lowest tattva) ; — from the beginning, beginning (from below) ; — having made, taking (as starting point) ; — ending in māyā (up to the māyā-tattva) ; — extending through the body of brahman

One who knew no rite becomes a knower of the ordinance with regard to worship — taking the Fire of Time from the beginning (below) and proceeding up to māyā, pervading the body of brahman.
