तत्र सात्त्विको यस्मात् मनश् च बुद्धीन्द्रियपञ्चकं च तत्र मनसि जन्ये सर्वतन्मात्रजननसामर्थ्ययुक्तः स जनकः

Transliteration (IAST)

tatra sāttviko yasmāt manaś ca buddhīndriyapañcakaṃ ca tatra manasi janye sarvatanmātrajananasāmarthyayuktaḥ sa janakaḥ

— the sāttvika (I-maker) ; — the mind ; — the five faculties of knowledge (sense-organs) ; — when the mind is to be produced ; — endowed with the capacity to generate all the subtle elements ; — the begetter (productive cause)

Of these, from the sāttvika one arise the mind and the five faculties of knowledge. There, when the mind is to be produced, that (I-maker), endowed with the capacity to generate all the subtle elements, is the begetter.
