तत्र प्राणम् उच्चिचारयिषुः पूर्वं हृदय एव शून्ये विश्राम्यति ततो बाह्ये प्राणोदयात् ततो ऽपि बाह्यं प्रति अपानचन्द्रापूरणेन सर्वात्मतां पश्यति ततः अन्यनिराकाङ्क्षो भवति ततः समानोदयात् सङ्घट्टविश्रान्तिम् अनुभवति तत उदानवह्न्युदये मातृमेयादिकलनां ग्रसते
Transliteration (IAST)
tatra prāṇam uccicārayiṣuḥ pūrvaṃ hṛdaya eva śūnye viśrāmyati tato bāhye prāṇodayāt tato 'pi bāhyaṃ prati apānacandrāpūraṇena sarvātmatāṃ paśyati tataḥ anyanirākāṅkṣo bhavati tataḥ samānodayāt saṅghaṭṭaviśrāntim anubhavati tata udānavahnyudaye mātṛmeyādikalanāṃ grasate
Therein, one wishing to raise the breath first comes to rest in the very void of the Heart; then, from the rising of the out-breath, [moves] toward the outside; then, toward the outer [point], by the lunar filling of the in-breath one sees the state of being the Self of all; thence one becomes free of craving for anything else; then, from the rising of the equalizing breath, one experiences the repose of [their] fusion; then, at the rising of the fire of the upward breath, one devours the differentiating activity of knower, known, and the rest.
