तत्त्वज्ञानिनस् तु न को ऽप्य् अयम् अन्त्येष्ट्यादिश्राद्धान्तो विधिः उपयोगी तन्मरणं तद्विद्यासन्तानिनां पर्वदिनं संविदंशपूरणात् तावतः सन्तानस्य एकसंविन्मात्रपरमार्थत्वात् जीवतो ज्ञानलाभसन्तानदिवसवत्

tattvajñāninas tu na ko 'py ayam antyeṣṭyādiśrāddhānto vidhiḥ upayogī tanmaraṇaṃ tadvidyāsantānināṃ parvadinaṃ saṃvidaṃśapūraṇāt tāvataḥ santānasya ekasaṃvinmātraparamārthatvāt jīvato jñānalābhasantānadivasavat
But for the knower of reality, none of this procedure, from the funeral rite to the śrāddha, is of any use. His death is a festival day for those in the lineage of his knowledge, because of the filling-up of (their) portion of consciousness — since the ultimate reality of that whole lineage is one consciousness alone — just like the anniversary-day of the lineage marking one's attainment of knowledge while living.
