व्याप्तं किञ्चिद्रिपोर्देहं मदीयं संहराम्यहम् । जडरूपो भवामीति चिन्तया मरणं स्थितम् ॥७४॥
vyāptaṃ kiñcidripordehaṃ madīyaṃ saṃharāmyaham | jaḍarūpo bhavāmīti cintayā maraṇaṃ sthitam
— pervaded ; — some(part) ; — the enemy's body ; — (which is) mine ; — 'I withdraw (dissolve)' ; — 'I become of insentient form' ; — by such contemplation ; — death ; — is brought about

(With the thought) 'I withdraw the enemy's body — pervaded (by me) and (so) mine — I become (in it) of insentient form,' by such contemplation (his) death is brought about (the rite of slaying).
