काष्ठकुड्यादिषु क्षिप्ते रसवच्छिवहेमता । तत्तत्तत्त्वबलावेशात् सर्ववस्त्वेकरूपिणम् ॥४८॥
kāṣṭhakuḍyādiṣu kṣipte rasavacchivahematā | tattattattvabalāveśāt sarvavastvekarūpiṇam
— upon wood, walls and the like ; — when cast ; — like mercury (the alchemical elixir) ; — the gold-state that is Śiva ; — from the forceful entry of this or that principle's power ; — every thing ; — of a single form

Just as mercury, when cast upon wood, walls and the like, (transmutes them into gold), so (the contemplation effects) the gold-state that is Śiva; from the forceful entry of this or that principle's power, (the adept makes) every thing of a single form.
