किं वा नाश्यं न मृत्पिण्डं घटस्य जनकं भवेत् ।
तदनाशे न किंचित्स्याद्घट एव न जायते ॥६८॥
kiṃ vā nāśyaṃ na mṛtpiṇḍaṃ ghaṭasya janakaṃ bhavet |
tadanāśe na kiṃcitsyādghaṭa eva na jāyate
Or could not the lump of clay — which is (held to be) what is destroyed (in becoming the pot) — be the producer of the pot? (Yet) if it be not destroyed, nothing would come to be; (and if it be wholly destroyed,) the pot itself is not born (from sheer nothing).
