नाशं घटस्य जनयेत्तत्सम्बन्धितया स्थितम् । मृत्पिण्डस्य घटोत्पत्तौ सति तज्जननात्मके ॥६६॥
nāśaṃ ghaṭasya janayettatsambandhitayā sthitam | mṛtpiṇḍasya ghaṭotpattau sati tajjananātmake
— the destruction ; — of the pot ; — might it generate ; — by way of (the cause's) being connected with it ; — established ; — of the lump of clay ; — in the production of the pot ; — being ; — whose nature is the generating of that

(If you say the collocation) might generate the destruction of the pot — (this stands) only by way of its being connected with it; (just as) the lump of clay's (efficacy) in the production of the pot (holds) only when (the clay is) of a nature that generates that (pot).
