ज्ञानस्वरूपग्रहाणां तद्ग्रहात्तद्ग्रहः किल । अतत्स्वरूपरूपत्वे नान्यस्यान्यग्रहाद्ग्रहः ॥८८॥
jñānasvarūpagrahāṇāṃ tadgrahāttadgrahaḥ kila | atatsvarūparūpatve nānyasyānyagrahādgrahaḥ
— of (cognitions) that grasp (objects of) the nature of knowing ; — from the grasping of that (knowing) ; — the grasping of that (object) ; — indeed ; — if (the object) were not of that (conscious) nature ; — not ; — of another ; — from the grasping of a (wholly) other ; — a grasping

For cognitions that grasp (objects) whose nature is (themselves) knowing — from the grasping of that (knowing) there is the grasping of that (object); (whereas) if (the object) were not of that (same conscious) nature, there could be no grasping of one (thing) from the grasping of a (wholly) other.
