तत्रापि व्यञ्जकापेक्षा स्यात् परायत्ततैव हि ।
अर्थापत्त्यादिना नापि तदनर्होपयोगतः ॥७४॥
tatrāpi vyañjakāpekṣā syāt parāyattataiva hi |
arthāpattyādinā nāpi tadanarhopayogataḥ
There too there would be dependence on a manifester — indeed, sheer dependence on another. Nor (is the object grasped) by presumption (arthāpatti) and the like, since that (means) is unfit for the purpose (of yielding the thing in its own being).
