अकाले जननं किंचिद्बाध्यते वा जनिक्रिया । कृत्वा कार्यं क्रिया याता गतायां किं प्रबाध्यते ॥१६॥
akāle jananaṃ kiṃcidbādhyate vā janikriyā | kṛtvā kāryaṃ kriyā yātā gatāyāṃ kiṃ prabādhyate
— at no (proper) time ; — production ; — some ; — is annulled ; — or ; — the act of producing ; — having performed ; — its effect ; — the action ; — has passed ; — when it has passed ; — what ; — is annulled

(Is there) some production at no (proper) time, or is the very act of producing annulled? Once the action, having brought about its effect, has passed away — what, in the already-departed (action), is there to annul?
