सा स्थिता पूर्वतस्तस्या इच्छायाः प्रसरः कथम् । यावन्न सूक्ष्म उल्लासश्चितः कार्योन्मुखः स्थितः ॥८५॥
sā sthitā pūrvatastasyā icchāyāḥ prasaraḥ katham | yāvanna sūkṣma ullāsaścitaḥ kāryonmukhaḥ sthitaḥ
— she (Paśyantī as the prior phase) ; — stands ; — prior ; — of her ; — of the will ; — the outflow ; — how ; — so long as ; — not ; — subtle ; — the upsurge ; — of consciousness ; — turned toward an effect ; — is established

She stands as the prior (phase); but how (could there be) an outflow of her will, so long as the subtle upsurge of consciousness, turned toward an effect, is not (yet) established?
