अथ मध्यमया बाह्या भावा ग्राह्या ह्यविद्यया ।
तस्या एव हि संयोगो बुद्ध्या संकल्पनात्मना ॥३७॥
atha madhyamayā bāhyā bhāvā grāhyā hyavidyayā |
tasyā eva hi saṃyogo buddhyā saṃkalpanātmanā
Now if (you say) external entities are to be grasped by Madhyamā through nescience — then it is that very (Madhyamā) that has conjunction with the intellect, whose nature is conceptual construction (— and so it cannot be the pure supreme).
