तत्रापि मध्यमा कस्य कार्यं पश्यन्त्यवस्थया । सा जन्या हेतुना केन शबलां जनयेदसौ ॥३८॥

tatrāpi madhyamā kasya kāryaṃ paśyantyavasthayā | sā janyā hetunā kena śabalāṃ janayedasau

— there too ; — Madhyamā ; — of what / whose ; — the effect, product ; — by the condition of Paśyantī ; — she ; — to be produced ; — by what cause ; — by what ; — variegated ; — could she generate ; — she

And there too: of what is Madhyamā the product? She is to be produced by the Paśyantī-condition; (but) by what cause, and how, could that (Paśyantī) generate this variegated (Madhyamā)?
