बुद्धिं विना कथं बोधः सा बुद्धिः प्रकृतेः प्रजा ।
न च तस्य तया योग इति चेदपरस्थितौ ॥२६॥
buddhiṃ vinā kathaṃ bodhaḥ sā buddhiḥ prakṛteḥ prajā |
na ca tasya tayā yoga iti cedaparasthitau
(Objection:) 'Without the intellect how can there be cognition? But that intellect is the offspring of primordial matter (prakṛti), and he (Śiva) has no conjunction with it.' (We answer: he does, but only) in his lower condition.
