syād etad avabhāseṣu teṣv evāvasite sati
vyavahāre kim anyena bāhyenānupapattinā
— this might be (the case); — in the appearances; — in those very (appearances); — when (everyday dealing) is accomplished; — being (the case); — practical dealing, empirical activity; — what (use)?; — by another; — external (object); — which is untenable (cannot be established)
This much might be said: since practical dealing is accomplished in those very appearances alone, what use is there for any other, external object, which cannot even be established?
